New Year's Eve was our 4th wedding anniversary.
The day before we had reservations to a great restaurant and a babysitter set up and then Jakey got sick a few hours before we were suppose to leave.
Fast forward a week later. Reservations are made again and a great friend agreed to watch the boys.
3:45pm left to pick up Finn from daycare with Jake in tow
4:15pm got late to pick up Finn because I was stuck behind every single school bus
4:45pm arrived at my friends house to drop of the boys
4:55pm left my friends house to go home, shower and leave for our reservations at 6:30pm - it starts to snow
5:45pm arrived at home (what should have been a 25 min drive turned into an hour drive because of the snow)
5:55pm skipped the shower, but changed cloths and left to drive to the restaurant
7:30pm finally arrived at the restaurant. Again what should have been 30 minutes of a drives was 90 minutes
We had a wonderful meal, with great music, a glass of wine, a nice fire roaring next to us... it was perfect.
9:00pm left to pick up the boys. (more snow)
10:00pm got the boys and on our way home
11:00pm HOME
Basically I was in the car from 3:45pm to 11pm to enjoy dinner with my husband! Now if that is not love (and a little desperation to be alone with him) I don't know what is...
Happy Anniversary Scot!
